WEAVING MASTERPIECES INTO BEING

AN ART THAT'S PART OF US

As Berbers, the art of rug weaving has been in our lives for millennia. Our mothers taught us this craft, just as their mothers taught them.

Weaving is a way of life, It’s a craft that’s in our DNA. Rooted in the earth and the landscapes around us, and growing richer and more meaningful with each generation.

The wool we use is locally sourced, spun and dyed by hand, and treated with the utmost respect for the earth. Every choice we make, from patterns to colors, has purpose. These symbols are our language, our voices — they evoke our collective history, our dreams, and our personal journeys.

This is why every piece in FiiDar’s Berber rug collection includes the story and meaning behind it; for us, the meaning is as essential as the beauty.

Our rugs are more than just wool and color; each is a unique story, a piece of us.

We come from a remote part of Tunisia, a place of breathtaking beauty and deep roots. Yet opportunities here are scarce, especially for women. Our craft has sustained us, helping us support our families.

FiiDar is a bridge for us. A bridge that connects our isolated communities with people around the world who value and respect our work.

We hope that, when you walk across our rugs, you feel not just the textures but the stories within them. You’re stepping into a tradition that’s centuries old, into patterns that hold meanings only we could tell you.

By choosing a FiiDar rug, you’re helping us keep our traditions alive, empowering our communities, and supporting a sustainable, ethical craft that respects our land and our people.

Thank you for becoming part of our journey and for letting our art become a part of your life. In every thread and every knot, we give a piece of ourselves — and we hope it brings beauty, warmth, and meaning to your home.
